<p>Some pages back, you said you kept your cancer in a little cancer box and did not allow it to interfere with the rest of your life. Your box is leaking! Get some duct tape. Now is a time when friends are good and distractions are good. </p>

<p>The officer in question may be the fortunate one, as many of us here have, learning about life differently by interacting with you.</p>
<p>One time I had my hair colored, cut and styled, put on makeup which I rarely do and dressed up in a sparkly Pakistani dress because we were going out. I asked DH, “Notice anything different?” and he said, “Did you comb your hair?”</p>
<p>I just got my below-shoulder length blond hair cut short and dyed brown. (Even though I was blond through my 20s, my hair’s darkened and I was so tired of spending all the time and money to keep it blond–my hair was a line item in our budget!)</p>
<p>Anyway, I did this on a Tuesday, and my H finally noticed Wednesday evening. He’s the original absent-minded professor.</p>
<p>LOL. O.K. I will send him email and see if he still wants to have a date, a drink, etc.</p>

<p>That’s the spirit! And don’t mind all of us over in the corner pretending not to eavesdrop and debating whether the guy even measures up to our standards for you. :)</p>
<p>He better know that if doesn’t treat you right, he’s gotta deal with all of us! ;)</p>

I moved the living room into the dining room…and the dining room into the living room…my husband came home…about 4 hours into the evening, seating in the new living room, he looked at me and asked “did you cut your hair?” funny how these moments are sooo memorable…</p>

<p>Just think of Al Pacino’s date in Sicily in Godfather II. We’re the ones in the plain clothes, walking 20 paces behind.</p>
<p>Better yet, she would be like the verizion commerical. </p>
<p>Where ever she goes people will ask “who are all of those people?” and LTS will just respond “oh, that’s my network.”</p>
