Support Gay Marriage?

GAY marraige is wrong and whoever supports it supports the devil and is going to hell Its a sin, and it is also not natural

Guess I’m going to hell then…wait, I don’t believe in heaven/hell :D

Ur canadian, u were going to hell any way for being an atheist and immoral

So you’re saying that anyone who doesn’t follow your (Christian?) beliefs is going to hell? Wow, guess we’d better hope it’s nice and big-gotta fit a couple billion souls there.

Yes anyone who does not follow jesus is going to hell, he died for our sins and you cant even follow his teachings that says alot about you as a person

Didn’t Jesus say something about loving everyone?

So if I were to live a good life, volunteer, help others, follow the law, essentially follow the Bible teachings of being a good person, etc. I would still be a “bad person” simply because I don’t worship a god?

Yes, there is no way around this, I advise that you convert to the teachings of Jesus, I do love everyone good or bad and I hate the sin not the sinner, so I hate your sinfull behavior and not you as a person im sorry if I did not make this clearer

I think I’m good. I’m happy with my life, and I help others when they need it, follow the rules/laws, and just generally lead a good life. If that’s not good enough, then whatever. Thanks though

UCI_Hopefull, you have to be kidding me. I still can’t tell if your posts are sarcastic related to Christians or not.

These beliefs of religion are exactly what spurred the Crusades.

How does the devil even relate with gay marriage anyways?

I have a neutral stanse against gay marriage. On one hand, I’m somewhat uncomfortable with the idea because it defies societal norms. But, on another hand, I hate the discrimination. I believe that homosexuality is not a choice. Why would anyone ever want to lead a life of discrimination and alienation? I’ve head of stories of homosexuals committing suicide when they found out their orientation because they were so depressed. Why would God allow homosexuality and then bid all those who suffer from it to hell? You could say it’s the devil that corrupted this sin into many. But, I really don’t know. I just don’t. Please, don’t give me that crap that I’m lost and need to find God. We’re all reasonable people, and I’ve thought about this for a while.

Well, to answer your question of “why would God make people homosexual and condemn them?”

According to my beliefs, each person is individually tested during life and if they do well and persevere, they are granted Paradise. Some people go through a lot of physical suffering, emotional suffering, etc. Not everyone faces the same challenges, and I think homosexuality is one of them. If a person does have such homosexual tendencies, their challenge would be to try and overcome those and remain on the right path. Another person might instead of homosexuality, have a difficult family life or childhood, or face some other impediments. Not everyone is tested the same way.

Now I’m just answering joker’s question that might otherwise make God seem evil, when in fact I believe that there’s a rational (religious) explanation for it. I’m not debating here, just answering this question.

Hommosexuality is not a struggle that you are to overcome. It is not bad. That is how I feel. You cannot ever actually change who you are instinctively attracted to. You can pretend to be straight, but in actuality, you are still gay. The Bible was written a long time ago, we cannot live our lives according to it. I am all for believing in a higher power. It is terrific to have something to believe in. But I cannot understand how you can take the Bible literally. Anyway, those who believe homosexuality is wrong based on their Christian beliefs, I know I will not change their minds. I am saying that religion should not be taken into account when making laws, and especially amendments to the Constitution. Our President is Christian, so of course he opposes gay marriage, I strongly disagree.

I’m not Christian, but same basic beliefs.

Anyways, though I personally believe homosexuality is wrong (for the explanation I just mentioned), since this country (USA) is supposed to have church and state separate, you’re right in saying the laws shouldn’t be based off of scripture. So though I don’t agree with it, I don’t mind that homosexuals might get marriage rights, because either way it won’t affect me.

The message of the bible is still the same. FOr example, if it says, do not steal your neighbors oxen, that doesn’t ACTUALLY mean to not take his oxen (well it kind of does), but it really means, do not steal. However you try to twist it into the Bible, the Bible flatout says that homosexuality is wrong. Those who are hardcore Christians will never agree with homosexuality, there is no way you can make them agree with it.

UCI_Hopeful…you are the epitome of “simple minded folk”.

I support gay marriage.

Marriage is the public declaration of love made by a couple. Be it a man and a woman, or 2 women, or 2 men… that’s what marriage is. So gay marriage should be legalised.

See that is very immature. I am for gay marriage, therefore I MUST be a homosexual. That is ridiculous First of all I am heterosexual, thank you very much. And I bet rainbow is too. And if she is gay. Who cares? Vperricone, you are indeed the most ignorant person I have ever seen.

Green Day is a good band. And apparently I am not the only one who feels that way, seeing as they won the most VMA’s last night and were nominated for a ton of Grammys. So sorry, but your argument doesnt hold much water. And 40 years old men? I dont think so buddy. And I’m sure they can sing a hell of a lot better than you man. Every time you post you look even more foolish.

I have to agree with VPerricone, liking Green Day does not help your argument on gay marriage.
