Supporting Grandma and effect on FAFSA

I know someone will have advice for me about this one! Feel free to pm me if you’d like.

Grandma lives in Florida. We live in Maryland. Right now Grandma is working approx. 40 hours a week at about $8 an hour. She also receives about $350/month from Social Security. We send $800/month to a Florida bank account that is in Happydad’s name but that Grandma can withdraw money from to help cover her expenses. Grandma isn’t anxious to quit her job, but may be shifting to part-time in the next six months.

I understand that when we are actually contributing more than 50% of Grandma’s living expenses, we can claim her as a dependent on the federal income tax even though she is living in another state. When/if that happens, will she count somehow in the FAFSA formula? How do we document the support that we are providing her?
