@batsbatsrats OMG I also got accepted to BFA Design. I haven’t received any email but my portal says “Congratulations, you’ll receive your detailed offer”.
Are you an international student? And after your portal got updated to congratulations, how much time did it take you receive an email of detailed offer?
My daughter applied and her application says complete and she will be receiving and email but she has not received anything yet. We called on Tuesday and said that they were mailing out physical notifications but have yet to receive anything. Has anyone else had this same issue? Also, if you do get an offer will they provide merit?
I have the same issue. They’ll most probably send an email before Christmas ig and physical mail takes about 2-3 weeks.
SVA will either give you the scholarship with your EA decision or send a notification via email in February if you’ve received the Silas H Rhodes scholarship.
My daughter was notified of her Silas H Rhodes scholarship with her acceptance package via regular mail. A few days later she received the estimated financial aid package from the financial aid office.
@MBNAN I am in the same situation, portal says “complete,” haven’t received any notification of anything. What major is your daughter? I am animation and I know a few other people who applied for animation who haven’t heard anything at all yet. Their office is now closed for the holidays so not sure if we’ll have to wait until they reopen in January to find out. Good luck to your daughter!
Woo hoo! The acceptance letter with merit finally came today! Nice Christmas present for my daughter! Thanks all for the info and good luck with the rest of your applications.
@insider9000 interestingly my daughter only received the financial merit offer in the mail. No official acceptance letter or email. It appears that they switched or updated the admissions systems this past month which might have caused issues with notifications or partial notifications.
@insider9000 sorry I just saw this now! Congratulations on the acceptance!!
To answer your questions, I’m not an international student. Also, I actually checked my portal after I got my email. Hopefully, you’ve already received your email by this point
@batsbatsrats@MBNAN@mommek3 I haven’t received my detailed offer via email/mail. My portal is still showing “Congratulations! You will receive your detailed offer soon”. What should I do??
@insider9000 I would call admissions next week when they are back from the holiday break. My bet is that they upgraded or switched their systems recently and somehow your letters did not go out before the break. My daughter just got her official acceptance packet yesterday in the mail. Oddly enough the financial aid info came prior. Good luck
@batsbatsrats@MBNAN@mommek3 I got the decision via mail but I haven’t received any info regarding the fin aid via mail or email. Should I wait or call the office?
There was a separate letter for financial aid that came in the mail a couple of days apart. Prior to the admissions closing before the holidays my daughter called to see when they were releasing decisions as well as financial aid information and the woman on the phone mentioned that they will be releasing financial aid information separately and it could be as late as February to receive that. If I were you I would call them when they open - I think maybe tomorrow? Good luck!
Hi guys! I haven’t found a facebook yet for admitted students so my name is Jordan and I’m extremely interested in SVA for 2024 for photography! If anyone wants to reach out and talk, my instagram is @ariestless
Hi. Daughter got acceptance letter with no merit aid but it encourages her to enroll by 2/1 to get full benefits of Early Action but doesn’t say what the benefits are! Has anyone encountered that and knows what that means? It also doesn’t say if it’s binding which she is not ready to do.
@JerseyMomof3 that’s what my daughters early action letter said too. Early action is not binding. I don’t know what “full benefit of EA” of feb 1 means but I am assuming nothing. It also clearly states you have until May 1. My daughter did receive merit and that also says May 1. Since my daughter probably will be attending, I may have her give a call before Feb 1 to see what “full benefit” means, but I think it’s just to make you feel urgency to deposit IMHO.
