Swarthmore College: An Informal History

<p>Someone in my daughter’s circle of friends collected a dozen of these books and gave them as graduation gifts this weekend:</p>

<p>Published by the College for a capital campaign in 1986, it covers the first 130 years or so of Swarthmore history, starting with a forward by James A. Michener. Very well reseached book, this is the definitive one-stop source for understanding the founding of the College, important milestones, and how the College came to be the way it is is today. </p>
