Bump?

Just FYI – you are not hooked. None of those are hooks. What is your SAT breakdown? First glance, looks like a lot of reaches. Tufts and Hunter appear to be your best shots, but Tufts can be quirky in who they let in.

Thank you for the reply. What does “hooked” mean? SAT: 800M 720R 680W

macaulay is a high match (doing that too:)) the other non-ivies are matches as long as essays/supplements are good, and the ivies are reaches for anyone
chance me back please http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/18846416#Comment_18846416

@NovaCat The SAT and GPA are obviously stellar, as are the internships. The ECs are good, but more leadership would be nice.

Overall:
Cornell - high match
Columbia - reach (it’s a reach for nearly everyone)
Macaulay @ Hunter - high match

A hook is generally being a recruited athlete, legacy, or URM (under represented minority).

Because of low admission rates, UChicago and ND are reaches as well.

Isnt first gen a form of hook as well?

He didn’t say if his mom is college educated. I don’t think 1st gen immigrant from a first world country carries sny real weight.

Mother is educated. Is single parent not a hook?

How do more activities even benefit you on the common app? I have everything filled out without even accurately representing my resume so how would more help? Also I read somewhere that colleges prefer you not to send an extra resume if you are using common app.
