Swiss Semester?

Has anybody heard of Swiss Semester? It looks really intriguing, but I’d like to hear from somebody who actually knows a little about it.

My daughter is doing Swiss Semester right now and it is an amazing program. It is only for high school sophomores and it is extremely challenging both academically and physically. They take approximately 40 kids from private schools all over the country and they live in Zermatt for 13 weeks. They do classes together (math and foreign language based on the home school curriculum, geology, english, and art history). They also spend a substantial amount of time outdoors hiking, climbing, biking, skiing, etc. My daughter just got back from a helicopter/mountain climbing trip. I cannot stress enough that you need to be in good physical shape to do this program. They take two major trips, one to Annecy, France and the other to Venice. The faculty is outstanding and the kids seem to have “once in a lifetime” experiences every day. I highly recommend Swiss Semester. My daughter goes to one of the sponsoring high schools, so I know a lot of people who have done the program and they all say the same thing. Let me know if you have any questions.
