switch colleges

is it true that you can switch colleges using an ict request? like if a transfer student wanted to switch colleges with a freshman student?

where’d you hear that?

Quote from UCSD Sociology–

Q: I would like to switch to another UCSD undergraduate college. Can I
request a switch from the one I was admitted to?

A: No. Each college has a certain number of spaces for transfer students to meet its enrollment goals. The only way for you to switch to another college is if a transfer student from that college wants to change to the one you were admitted to. Therefore, very few college changes granted each year. We highly encourage you to remain in your current college because experience has shown that you will find it a very rewarding experience.

If you indeed wish to change colleges, please get an Intercollege Transfer Request form at the Academic Advising Office of the college to which you were admitted. Your college will then follow up with you as to the results of your request.
