I am currently an undergrad at Wash.U with 58 credits completed. However, since I am not enjoying my engineering courses I am contemplating a switch to A&S.
Does anyone know if it will be easy to transfer schools at this stage, or do they only allow a switch to take place during freshman year.

They’ll let you do it, but (based off of credits I’m guessing you’re a sophomore) at this point, it might be hard to find a major that will still let you graduate in 4 years. So its possible, but if you wanna be out of undergrad on time, you’ll probably have to take overloads of classes and summer school.

At this point, you might have already completed most of the core requirements (“Common Studies”) for engineering. One possibility would be to stay in engineering but add a second major from A&S (or Olin/Business). And choose a non-professional (not certified) engineering major, like the BS in Applied Science (Systems), which is fairly flexible and often done as part of a double major. This approach might possibly require fewer total hours/summers/etc. (mentioned by the previous poster), if that’s a concern. It would be a good idea to map out the course requirement details if you haven’t already.
