Syracuse Audition Information

<p>I’ve been looking on the Syracuse Visual and Performing Arts College website for weeks now and cannot find some critical pieces of info.

  1. When are auditions?
  2. Are there any auditions offered off campus?
  3. How do I coordinate a visit to Syracuse? (I’ve already e-mailed the person in charge and I haven’t gotten a response for weeks.)</p>

<p>I don’t know if I’m not looking in the right place or what. Can anyone who knows the website better inform me how I can obtain this information?</p>

<p>I just checked the VPA website, and it doesn’t look like audition dates have been announced yet. And yes, Syracuse does have off-campus auditions. Dates will probably be announced once school gets underway in a few weeks; the first on-campus auditions are usually in October.
Regarding visiting the campus, when my D visited SU as a high school student, we just dropped into the drama department without making an appointment, and were given a warm welcome and full tour of the theater facilities. Or you can register for one of the open house weekends. Registration info can be found on the VPA website once it has been updated for this year. That should happen soon, but if you don’t want to wait you should try calling the drama department directly.</p>

<p>I do have one more question…is the information about visiting/audition information/open house going to be on the VPA webstie or the standard Syracuse Univeristy website?</p>

<p>That website is the correct one; it currently lists dates for the fall receptions, when you can visit the campus. The other audition dates have not been posted yet.</p>
