I don’t want to come off as rude or ungrateful, but the financial aid process for syracuse has been so long, annoying, and unnecessary. I understand it is partially my fault as I didn’t get things submitted earlier, but every time they say they’ve received all the documents they turn around and say oops one more. I’ve submitted about 10 times more to Syracuse which isn’t even a 100% need met school than hopkins or vandy which due meet 100%. Most of the stuff has been duplicates of what was already on fafsa or css profile and it’s super annoying. I still haven’t received my aid package, and since I have an acceptance to my state school that actually has a medical school (and pt, and ot, and pharmacy and …) and is almost completely free after scholarship I plan on declining my admissions offer to SU. Syracuse was my top school for a while but this has made me rather go anywhere else.
Is anyone still waiting other than my daughter? This seems really odd - no communication at all.
No my son is still waiting. Call the office of admissions in the morning. We called Monday and they asked his name and said his is still in decision review. He’s a film major. Expecting a decision any day now. Good luck to your daughter!!!
@Siena19 We have submitted all the documents they asked for . It almost 3 weeks we received an acceptance and still no word on the financial aid package. Every time I call them they say its in review.
@sam4818 It’s so frustrating. After a week of no communication, thinking I had turned everything in (all said received) I got yet another email today that they need MORE INFO! Honestly I feel like they should be more upfront with their financial aid app requirements because at the beginning of this I thought all I would need to submit was fafsa and maybe the css profile and/or idoc

I really can’t believe that people still haven’t heard anything…that is really unfair…
Just found out my sons film was emailed to graduate program email. That is why he hadn’t received decision, maybe next week now that’s its in the right place. Ugh
@Siena19 Its indeed frustrating. I called them today early morning and asked what’s the hold up. The financial aid rep said he wasn’t sure so he will ask someone to give me a call. I am still waiting for the call to come thru. We have nothing pending in the todo list so don’t know what is the obstacle.
I finally got my financial aid and it’s not horrible, but it’s still way too expensive for me to go. Good luck to everyone who will be attending this fall and congrats!
Is anyone still waiting for a decision? Is it true that someone is still waiting? Is Syracuse this disorganized?
I wanted know since my D just got a response today. That is after 3 months 8 days with all the materials submitted on Jan. 1. Very Frustrating to say the least!

After a long wait period , Syracuse came back to us with a financial aid package . Nothing was awarded. Take the admission with the full price or leave it. Its so frustrating.
For those who have already got their financial aid, if you don’t mind sharing, how much did you receive/what is your income? I’m still waiting and I’m worried that it’s not going to be enough for me to attend even though I’d really like to.
