Does Syracuse use first semester senior year grades too accept you for RD?
Yes. From the SU Admissions website: "Your academic performance is a significant factor in our admissions decision, especially your senior year accomplishments. Your participation in honors and advanced placement courses and/or meaningful electives demonstrates your commitment to maximize your college experience. " Good luck to you.
Thanks, my D has also applied RD to Syracuse and though it isn’t her top choice, it might be the best place for her. Her SAT scores were “meh” but she has a very strong GPA and had 2 AP clases and Honors Physics this term and looks to be getting As in all of them. I am hoping that will help her with Syracuse.
@honestmom…DD applied ED last year. She had asked her high school counselor to email her Q1 grades to admissions as the ED deadline was nearing. Like your daughter she had a strong senior year schedule with 3 APs and also had all As at the time and later finishing senior year with all As… DD currently is a dual at Whitman and Newhouse and loves SU! For my daughter SU was the right choice. Good luck to you and your daughter.
