so the total cost of attendance is $55600

but there is only $50125 total aid offered…including loans+work study ($10,700 of it)

does that mean that the $5425 a year, I have to come up with?

Yes, you and/or your parents will need to pay the difference each semester. But the $55,600 is only for billable costs. You’ll need to add in estimates for books, transportation, etc to arrive at the total cost of attendance. You probably should back out the work study award since that money has to be earned and isn’t guaranteed.

Just to clarify…

sk8ermom means not to consider the w/s money that you’d have on hand immediately to go towards college costs. That is earned money to be used for day to day expenses. It’s a job.

I’m just clarifying so the student doesn’t think “backing out” means declining. Yes, accept the W/S, just realize that’s money to be earned.

yeah, i am aware that workstudy is no guarantee, that is why i clumped it with loans

and the 55,600 includes transportation, books, room, and everything else
