Rec’d at 6:03 pm - Another rejection for my D - to the BFA Acting Program in the College of Visual & Performing Arts (which was primarily based on an audition - so far 7 rejections, 1 waitlist and 1 yet-to-be-heard rejection from CMU out of 10 auditioned BFA programs. It’s been a tough month.)
FWIW, Unweighted GPA 3.42, ACT 33
The good news is, she was accepted to Skidmore today, so takes a bit of the sting away, although she really, really, really wanted to attend a BFA program.

I’m a little annoyed at this point. I still haven’t heard anything. I even emailed my counselor and was told that I would find out this week.
Still haven’t heard anything. Applied ED2 and got deferred. I am dying waiting for this.
The stats of everyone who heard “no” today are better than my son’s. We already thought Syracuse was a long shot, but now we have an even clearer perspective. @ryguyee i took about the same ap classes you did, honestly dont know i did wrong i had good ecs too, hopefully you have better luck and you get in!

Well, I got rejected. I applied and auditioned for the Acting BFA. I was in their summer college program for MT 2 summers ago. Had pretty solid grades as well. Even took acting lessons with a reitred SU professor. Its all good though, the program is insanely competitive. Luckily I have been accepted into 4 other Acting BFA programs but SU was my top choice. GL to everyone still waiting or currently recieving their results!
