@Scholar1917 but Cornell is an Ivy and at least they publicize that date…Syracuse has been releasing decisions every Friday since the end of February… this is just torture… there are lots of schools that get as many applicants as they do and manage to get their decisions out more timely…to me it feels like they are trying to make themselves more prestigious than they are… it’s turning me off and I’m sure others too…
@collegeselect I totally agree - seems very disorganized. I applied ED1 and received news of my deferral on 12/22, almost 2 full weeks after the date on my deferral letter.

Not gonna lie this makes me not wanna go to SU anymore. I’ll be hearing from USC before I hear from 'Cuse… this is messed up. they need to get their shit together

I’m so done with this. This is just ridiculous.
I do think with the new rules on submitting prior prior taxes for financial aid it has pushed the application process up significantly. many of these schools need to change their timelines because, even if a child is accepted, they may have already lost interest. My son has already received significant scholarships from every school he applied to, he has already put money down on housing for one and attended an accepted students weekend at another…this has got to effect how many students enroll.
What’s a shame is I’m ready to just commit there and I know kids with lower grades with no interest in Syracuse that got in on the first friday
I’m just sitting here thinking. Why would they only deny today? Why couldn’t we know last well? They also said that in every batch of decisions there would be acceptances along with denials
