0 people were accepted today… Shame
I know three other students at my school who applied and none of us have heard back yet.
i’m about to send an angry email honestly… anyway I guess they’re taking “the end of march” literally. next friday is the 31st rolls eyes until they fall out of head
So, my son got an email, now expecting bad news. He is at work until midnight. so…does the email for rejections start:

Yes this means he was denied. Mine read the exact same. I’m so sorry.
thank you…hard to wait and then have him come home from work and get THIS news. now wondering if we should just open it and tell him ourselves. 
My son was admitted last Friday and his email said “you will ALSO receive a hard copy by mail…” so sorry the wait for all of you is so long!
Us too. But it’s finally over. We are going to Temple (my alma matter).
havent gotten an email or anything yet so i am not sure what to expect. I am so tired of waiting and thought i was one of the few ones in this boat. in any case, good luck to everyone!
It’s funny that I’ll hear from USC before I hear from Syracuse… usc’s deadline was January 15th and they had 56k applicants, with everyone being able hear their decision by this Sunday; Syracuse’s rd deadline was Jan 1st and they have around 33k applicants, but people are hearing at ‘random times’ and admissions can’t set just one decision release date
I paid good money to submit financial forms through the college board. And for what? A rejection. Don’t ask me to submit financial aid forms only to reject the applicant. When my son (who is almost 15) applies to college, Syracuse is not going to be on the list.

Looking at last year’s thread it looks like this wave was rejected students and the next wave will be waitlist and the final wave will be taken off waitlist.
That doesn’t seem to make any sense and isn’t what they said at all on the phone when I called them a couple of days ago.
Idk, I don’t think next week will just be waitlist, the yield the first Friday was not large enough
This is not what they told me on Wednesday either. Not sure why they don’t send everything out at once.

I already called out Syracuse on Twitter on their admission notification practices. It’s not fair to say there’s a mix with release of admissions decisions when there clearly is a pattern. Last week acceptances. This week rejections. Maybe next week deferred and wait listed? (which in my opinion is the same as a rejection, no offense). Syracuse, be real. Don’t string people along. We know your game.
