A lot of people were accepted march 30th last year
I still haven’t heard back yet from Syracuse! I applied to their engineering program
Really saddened to hear about all of the rejections today…keep your head up everyone and remember that you will end up where you are supposed to be!!
FWIW…My son has not heard back yet. 2 of his friends were accepted today.

I really hope there isn’t a pattern to their admissions process, just reading comments about how so many were rejected today and waitlists could be expected next week is already getting me worked up
But there were several batchs of acceptances last year. It seems like they only sent out one batch of acceptances this year? :-/
@pennymom not to give false hope, but I think all emails are like that because that’s what mine said and I got in. Then again, there haven’t been any acceptances today

I doubt there will be a lot of waitlistig next week, the general yield is low… not nearly enough acceptances last week…especially from Newhouse and Whitman… at least that what I am telling myself this week.
I applied to Newhouse and still haven’t heard!! some kids were accepted and other rejected from my school!
I applied regular decision for Bio major but still haven’t heard back :/. But I really don’t want to dorm, I’d rather get an apartment. Is there any way Syracuse could make an exception if I do get in?
I did apply to SU too, but i’m still waiting… They sent me the Institutional Validation Form to complete… Does anyone also get this form?
@NTHstud unfortunately it doesn’t mean anything. We we’re asked to complete it too but got a rejection yesterday (3/24).
My daughter applied to Newhouse for advertising and got rejected last night. 93.9 (3.9) average, 27 ACT, Girl Scout Gold Award, over 300 hours of community service, dances 5 days a week, has a job, NHS, Italian NHS, does the play every year, voice ensemble, 4 college classes and other ECs. I know Newhouse is very competitive but it was her number 1. Very disappointing-especially the wait. We live in NY and she was accepted to Binghamton and Geneseo so she will probably choose from those.
Has anyone heard back for engineering?
35 ACT, very worried by the high-ACT rejections yesterday…

@mom2a99er The 2 accepted yesterday were Whitman. A week ago Friday 2 also accepted.
I think we survived the worst part of this! Hopefully they actually pull through and release the second round of acceptances next week. Please no waitlists
I don’t see any reason as to why there wouldn’t be acceptances next week.
