Anybody off the Newhouse School waitlist? What are my DS’s chances? Should he keep pestering them with his new higher GPA, his 4.0. Second Trimester report card, etc. - or is that obnoxious? He really wants to go to Arts & Sciences or Newhouse. He just really wants Syracuse - should have First Choiced them back in the fall, but did not. D’oh!

I just received an email from Syracuse saying my MySlice was updated and that I had a financial aid award. They gave me grants and loans but I never got an email saying I was accepted off the waitlist. I have no idea if they even took me for my major ??
the same thing happened to me !! I got an email as well!
they gave me a whole financial aid offer and everything. and i have the option of finalizing my aid so it can be added to my student bill… so does that mean i’m accepted ?
I also just got an email with my financial aid offer. I’m guessing that means I got in? However, I didn’t get enough aid, so I will be going to West Virginia University!

But we are getting some good info here – Cuse not waiting until JUNE to do some waitlist invites.
so I called admissions and they said that I was accepted off the waitlist !!! that I should receive an email later today. that it was a miscommunication between financial aid and admissions that they sent my financial aid before notifying me of my acceptance
I got a “there’s missing info for financial aid “ email asking me to send in more financial aid info, what could that mean?

@user_461268 Here’s some stats. If you want I can list extracurriculars too.
1220 SAT (pretty bad I know)
4.0 weighted gpa (my school doesn’t tell us our unweighted for some insane reason)
6 AP courses taken throughout high school and the rest all honors.
5 on AP Lang, 5 on APUSH, 3 on AP Environmental and the other 3 taking this year.
@egf200 No but thank you. And really thats not a bad SAT don’t sell yourself short, and the APs are impressive. I was just curious how my odds were and since my SAT scores are higher I feel better about my chances
