i havent heard anything yet but someone on reddit called admissions yesterday and they said they’ll be sending stuff out within the week. but who knows when they’ll actually send stuff out
Thanks. The timing seems to be off on everything this year. We just got merit scholarship from another school over the weekend.
It’s a domino effect… 
Seats are opening up all the time based on a spot being given to a hopeful waitlisted student. But that lucky student will then subsequently vacate their current spot, which means another waitlist student is being notified elsewhere.
If UNC, for example, goes to a waitlist, then those lucky UNC recipients are forfeiting their housing deposits $$$ at ______ (e.g., NC State, Elon, etc.). Now NC State and Elon have to get on their horses and fill that spot… There is considerable tuition dollars to be lost if an institution has vacant slots that go unfilled for the Fall.
Why does there continue to be movement? Two big reasons: the first is the financing piece being delayed for a lot of folks, and the second is the kids choosing to plunk down deposits at schools, knowing they might not even go there. That’s NEW! They’re essentially securing their best situation, as they hope for a waitlist opportunity to open. 
I guess my question would be…how long should applicants wait on these outcomes? Some kids want to pick a roommate, rush for Greek life (if that’s their thing), buy the merch, figure out their dorm decorations, pick classes, etc.
The situation is unfortunate, but I can’t find a ‘villain’ in the situation. 
Just got off the waitlist like an hour ago!! For Newhouse and Falk combined program. Super happy about it and now just waiting on financial aid!

Does anyone know when’s the latest a student can hear back or when is the time when basically every student will hear back?
Currently waitlisted for the Newhouse school!
there no set time its random for every student, the latest you can hear back im assuming is probably the end of this month.
Is it possible that a student hears back as late as august or is definitely by the end of June?
In past years, at other schools, kids have heard back at the end of the summer.
