T mobile hack

T mobile was hacked last year but the issue has not actually been addressed, If you have T mobile make sure you get port validation set up (main account holder). You can google all the ins and outs and you can do it on Tforce but you need to do it now if you use your phone number for SMS / 2 step verification (bank, google, facebook, etc). T mobile have done a bang up job of giving away the keys to your house. Some reps are still side stepping it. One just told me port validation was a thing they just started yesterday LOL. So they will tell you anything to get you off the phone. The massive data breach means this could be ongoing, if you haven’t been affected before now, you might yet be. Apparently, there is a lot of stuff hitting the fan today.
T mobile didn’t let us know, maybe they let you know? over 70 million users.

The hack was ages ago, but the problems are ongoing now. The number porting issue has not been addressed at all. T mobile just allowed your number to be ported by just knowing the phone number. The reality is the breach data could be used in an ongoing fashion for as long as there are numbers to use. The port validation feature has been live for some time. Has anyone had a prophylactic text or email about port validation?
