My current cell phone provider is T-mobile. I think most of us can agree that it isn’t the best service in general. But it’s decent most of the time here in SoCal. In my Mother’s attempt to make me more ‘responsible’ she decided to sign over my line to me. Now I’m stuck with a contract until next December. I’m going to be living in the Wada transfer apartments this year and I heard that since it’s concrete, you hardly get service- let alone with T-mobile.

Can someone please provide insight on T-mobile’s service in Berkeley- particularly in the Wada Apartments? Or better yet, tell me that what I heard isn’t true.

T-mobile generally sucks in West Coast, or at least in the bay area.

I heard Tmo is increasing the rate of text messaging effective the end of next month. So if you don’t have the unlimited texting plan, by the “Terms and Conditions” you are allowed to get out of your contract without early termination fee. But since your contract is ending in December, I’m not sure if you’d want to go through the hassle of dealing with CSR.
