Anyone buy one recently? I want a simple radio with high quality sound (no static) that takes batteries too (in case we lose power and have no idea what’s happening in the outside world). Sangean is one brand I’m looking at. I thought Bose Wave radio was the go to option but I read some negative reviews about sound distortion. Appreciate any recent experience. Thanks
I’ve had a Sangean WR-11 for many years. If the radio signal is strong enough, sound quality is good. The price was less than $100. It doesn’t take batteries.
Many years ago, I stayed at a hotel that had a Tivoli clock radio. Pricey but great sound quality.

Thank you - I’ll check out that model.
Thanks – I’ll check out that brand too.
Excellent - thank you!
My only complaint is the retro tuning wheel is micro increments, so finding a precise station can take some trial and error. takes batteries or plugs in and also usb or a data stick loaded with mp3s
