Taft and Loomis Admissions Chances

Hi folks of the internet!

I’m a freshman from West Palm Beach, Florida, looking to apply for my sophomore year at Loomis Chaffee or Taft School. I was just wondering about my chances of entrance. You see, I would most definitely need financial aid, all things considered. I am a very outgoing artistic boy who has a passion and a love for knowledge. Here’s some info about me:

My courses (as a 9th grader):
Ancient History
Biology Honors
Spanish III honors (sophomores and juniors mostly. I’m the only freshman and I have one of the highest grades in the class)
1st semester Jazz Dance (level 2)
2nd semester Health (state required)
English I hon
1st semester Debate
2nd semester AP Macroeconomics (W/ the exception of myself, only seniors are in this class. I was personally placed in here by the Principal)
and lastly Geometry Honors

I have straight a’s this quarter (I had an 88 in biology last time). Weighted, I have a 4.27ish… not waited, about a 3.9 something. Next semester, if I get an A in Economics (which I should… probably) I would have a 4.5.

I play the piano (relatively well. I’m not brilliant, however)
I can play the alto and soprano recorder fairly well, too
I did take jazz this year and have a basic understanding of dance.
I took 6 years of Drama classes in my old town back in CT (where I lived for 13 years). I was in the highest level, working with HS seniors when I was in 8th grade.
I also draw well.
I took Tap dancing lessons from a Tony award winning dancer and director/choreographer for 5 years.
I’ve also been on my schools choir for a while, and I’m going to be in America’s first HS production of Disney’s Hunchback (my school was selected to do it). I’m only in the choir, though ( I was sick for the main tryouts).

I have a genius level IQ, too. I’m not going to say what it actually is, however.

My Mom and both my uncles went to Loomis. I have a lot of friends at Taft, too. I used to live right by there so many of my friends went.

I had my Harvard Graduate/English professor Grandma read over my essays and she told me they were excellent.

I’m not very sporty, but I was on the varsity swim team this year, and I’ve played tennis in the past and I’m going to to try out for it this year (2 weeks from now).

I still have to have my interviews (over Skype- we can’t go to CT) but I am very friendly and sociable.

I haven’t taken the SSATs this year, but I am scheduled for the 2nd of Feb. I took them last year and scored a 2235 (93rd percentile). I also applied to the Gunnery and Hotchkiss last year. I was accepted with open arms at Gunn, but rejected to Hotchkiss. I now hate Hotchkiss with a burning passion: do you think that will get me into Taft? Haha… all jokes aside, do I stand a chance?

Disregard this whole post.

The AOs won’t care, however.
