mr. frew the director of admissions there (who interviewed me) was really nice, but he sort of implied that it would be extremely difficult to get in, owing to the fact that taft accepts maybe 5 or so new juniors. he said it would be difficult adjusting too- anyways a very honest/frank answer. thats sort of why im not apply to taft- imean for awhile it WAS a school i was really looking into, he kinda told me pretty directly that he didnt recommend me applying. he was really nice tho, and the campus is gorgeous. blairt, u sound pretty solid to me so i say go for it and apply.

do you think my horseback riding will be a benefit there since they offer it?

you think he basically implied that you dont apply because he sort of knew who was already going to get the spot (some athletic recruit or something)?

nope not that- he just really gently implied that i should only apply if i really really wanted to go there. (and i didnt actually- tho the interview went pretty well idk)

but blairt, hey if u want to, just do it! uknow you can always reuse those essays too, shouldnt be too much of a problem. ahh, pity i already paid the fee for taft too. w/e tho, least i got some pretty good advice.
from what i understand you seem pretty into riding too- just emphasize that part more in ur app.
