<p>So it’s application time for transfers like me, and I’ve got some questions. The only question I can remember right now is that if you signed a tag and IGETC agreement, would you still have to write essays for the application? It is a gurantee entree after all, does anything even matter except that 3.0 GPA?</p>
<p>Check out this thread. The UCD rep says you still have to. Probably the same for UCSD.

<p>you still have to because simply put it’s part of the application but you really don’t need to stress over it because your admission is guaranteed. in a seminar i went to the councelor said thought she doesnt recommend it she’s known of students putting 5 words in their “essay” portion</p>

<p>I talked to a transfer couselor and she said I should because that’s how they determine scholarships. Makes sense I guess.</p>
