TAG Income Question

The part in TAG where it asks for family’s gross income. For 2011, we haven’t done our taxes yet… so what are we suppose to put? expected income?

Thank

What?! Where does it say that?!

I’m looking at my TAG and there is no where that is asking about my families income

It is completely optional -___________- (thanks to Kittychen for this face)

^^But I still can’t find it anywhere?!?!?!

Which tab is it underneath?

I think it’s in the My Information tab, you will have to click and expand it. I have already submitted mine so I don’t bother going back to that website lol

lmxao @ sb.

i am sure listing the income just allows:

1.the school to gather information about your financial need early

2.possibly use it to prioritize your admission, if need to come into a hard decision between you and other applicants when admission for TAG students gets hectic

just to know for statistical data.

^^I still don’t see it anywhere under “My Information” section – or other sections

::EDIT:: NVM! Found it, it was hidden so I had to click a link to open it. lol

It says under the demographic information tab, "The UC TAG campuses are committed to ensuring guarantee programs serve the broad diversity of students attending California’s community colleges. To that end, the university asks you to provide some demographic information that would assist us in measuring our success in achieving that goal. Any information you provide in this section will be used for statistical analysis only. The information will not be used in the evaluation of your TAG application, nor will it be shared with your community college or the UC TAG campus to which you are applying. Providing this information is optional. If you do not wish to complete these questions, you may simply leave them blank. "

The key portion of this paragraph being, “The information will not be used in the evaluation of your TAG application, nor will it be shared with your community college or the UC TAG campus to which you are applying. Providing this information is optional. If you do not wish to complete these questions, you may simply leave them blank.”

Good find swagandtag. So basically this portion is of no importance at all besides record-keeping for the UCs.
