Does anyone have a recipe for cooking pasta in sauce? I saw it once for feeding the homeless and would like to try it for a tailgate. I can keep a single large pot of tomato sauce hot, but don’t have a way to have a separate burner to boil water.

Any ideas?

Interesting tailgate idea! A fresh pasta might quickly cook in a slightly thinned sauce and not get too starchy. I would probably thin the sauce with some broth and diced tomatoes in juices instead of water as to not dilute the flavor too much. I know Martha Stewart has a one pot pasta recipe out there. Maybe test and tweak the recipe at home beforehand.

Maybe you could precook pasta and bring it along in a ziplock.

I googled “cooking pasta in sauce”, and there is a ton of info! Apparently, it is the preferred technique for some pasta dishes:
