Takata Airbag Settlement Check- anyone else get one?

I thought it came in the mail. I only remember this because we got it for two Honda’s that we no longer owned so tossed the mailings.

We never got anything for the Subaru or Volvo that both have replaced airbags.

I’m not going to fret about $60 each. It’s not like we had to pay for the replacements.

Yep, our check was like $62 and change, but so many of these class action payments are in the single digits ((under $10). It was a nice surprise.

Hmmm, my D’s check was a little over $150 for her 17 yo Mazda which had it replaced twice.

Wow, @kitty56! Maybe the amount is calculate by how long the person was unable to use the car and/or the number of times the airbag was replaced? DK, just musing…

Yeah, jym, I have no idea. It is a distance to get to the dealer to get it replaced, but I’m sure that didn’t play into the amount. She never lost use of it. I wish I had applied :).

Just got $72 for a 2003 Odyssey. Depending on the level of gas in the tank that might be about what it’s worth.

Our $72 check came today for a 2008 CR-V which we no longer have.

Just received a check for $144 - two vehicles.

Just opened the check today, which means we received it four days ago. We quarantine our mail.

Now we have to learn how to deposit the check through an app, since we won’t risk going to the bank at this time.

I don’t recall applying for a check, and have not received anything yet. We still have our original owner 2009 CR-V. We had the drivers side airbag replaced, and maybe 1 year later had the passenger side replaced. Both times I felt we got exceptional service from our local Honda dealer (had use of a new model year loaner car both times, while our car was 8 to 9 years old) and we didn’t even buy it from our local dealer. So I don’t feel like I am owed any money, but I wouldn’t object if I got a check!

I really wonder how they calculated who got how much? It took 8 mos for them to get the airbag in for DHs car, but they did reimburse us for a car rental. It was inconvenient to have to rent and return cars a month at a time, and some were rather undesirable models, but oh well. First world problem.
