I am an architecture major who is interested in Japanese and Chinese, but I have yet to take any language entrance exams.

Can I still take those langauge exams in August, after I move in?

And do you think it is a good idea for me to take a language course as a freshman with an architecture major?

Did you check to see if you can take the on-line exam? My son took the on-line exam in French.

Chinese and Japanese only offer paper-and-pen placement tests, so those will be available around August. Check with the Testing Bureau: [USC Testing Bureau](http://sait.usc.edu/testing_bureau/placement_home.shtml)

will i still be able to add language classes after taking those exams in august?

i’m afraid that it will be too late.

you will for SURE be able to get a class. As of now, all of the levels of obth languages have alot of spots open, and almost everyone has registered. Don’t worry about it.
