Take a peek at my essay?

I have already finished my college search and all my applications, so its a little late to change anything. but feel free to comment :)

Change. Many people fear it, some love it, but others have no idea what it means. Round, sometimes shiny, other times dirty. Many dates can be found, but only a few matters. Shape really does matter, but not the shape that comes readily to mind, but the quality of the change in question. The date should be clear, the details should shine, but that is not all. Size does matter, and so does the age: older and bigger is usually better, but even so, this is not always the way that it goes. For example, an error in the design calls for a drastic change in value, sometimes more, sometimes less.
If you have not figured it out, I am a coin collector, having found many valuable coins throughout the years. I have rummaged around the internet into its deepest depths for the best values and rarest coins available that I could afford, including, but not limited to, eBay, Coinet, and many more expansive sites. However, in my quest, I could not rely upon just the internet; I also started to explore the outer reaches of my small town in search of coins at antique shops. This treasure hunt satisfied my obsession for a while. However, it could feed it for only so long.
Soon, I grew bored of knowing what coins I was going to receive: I wanted something with more of a hunt, more work involved. This is where my love of coins turned around; I started change and roll hunting. Now to many, this practice may seem silly - that I would go through the trouble of searching roll after roll of coins. However, I liked the challenge and the pleasure I felt as I found a key date or a new date that I had never seen before because it allowed me to research. This is also, why I like this hobby so much and stuck with it - because of the untold research involved. Before I ever get a coin, or after I get one from a roll, I research, to learn everything there is to know about that coin and date, such as a few weeks ago when I researched a good deal on a 1901-O Barber Half Dollar, paying about half of actual value. However, there is something I realize about coins that I feel many people will never understand, that they are magical and offer something that I do not think other hobby can; delight of finding a lost treasure. Error coins, for example, are worth more because of their uniqueness, a flaw unseen by many as it passes hands.

This is why coin hunters are also on the hunt when receiving new coins, to check for these errors. Coin hunting is something that is a part of me and has actually become more than a hobby; I do not receive change without deep inspection. Who knows? Maybe you should take a second to look. You may like what you find.

anyone? :)

i really like the beginning and ending  made me smile

I liked how you used the word “change” to mean two things. It was an interesting essay to read. Will you be willing to read mine as well?

Thank you! and sure panda9 it would be my honor :P

any other thoughts?

I’ve read over 50 essays on CC, and I’d say this is one of the more memorable ones. It feels sincere, unlike the many why-college essays (these tend to stink). I like it- its charm is endearing.

thank you Cardgames :)

any other thoughts?
