Take AP test late--high school messed up

My son took AP Biology this year. He was supposed to take the test today. Him and five of his classmates found out that their names weren’t included for students to take the test today. So they aren’t able to take it today. Seems to be an issue on the high school side. The College Board has said they might be able to take it next week. Has anyone had an experience like this and have the students been able to take the test late?

Yes. The AP Coordinator needs to set up.

Thank you! The high school AP coordinator? Have you experienced this before?

The HS AP coordinator, yes. I’m familiar with examples, but I’ve never had the issue myself.

OK, thanks again. I believe the high school coordinator is talking with the College Board now. Hopefully they will be allowed to take it next week.

There is always a make-up test date. Guidance counselor should be familiar with this. When my eldest got hit in the head with a pitch and had a concussion, she was able to defer the AP exam that she was supposed to take the next day to the make-up date (about 10 days later). (Fortunately was easy to defer as her guidance counselor saw this happen - counselor was also the assistant softball coach.)

While true, the OP is asking about the make-up test date to the make-up test date.

Can confirm there is a makeup for the makeup first week of June. I am doing one. They don’t advertise it, but it does exist.

Thanks! This gives us some hope. Hoping College Board will be helpful and allow them to take it.
