Even though EC101 is not a prerequisite to EC102, it says on the Economics Website that it’s the 2nd part of a two-semester sequence. I understand that’s what Econ. majors do, but I just want to take EC102. Is it a good idea?

I can’t see why you couldn’t do that, a lot of people take only Macro or take them in reverse order.

Absolutely. I took them in reverse order (as in, EC102 and then EC101 the next semester) and I found there is no benefit to taking them in any particular order. I had to take both for my major (IR), but you could certainly just take one of them, and I enjoyed macro more.

By the way I had Watson both semesters, and got two A’s.

Thanks. I emailed Watson as well and he said it was okay. Assures me because I was really interested to take Macro but not Micro.
