Take Math 1 or Math 2 first tomorrow?

Hey, I signed up to take Math 1 and 2 tomorrow. I want to do better on Math 2 and I just wanted to know if you had an opinion on which one I should take first in terms of being more awake, more concentrated less tired. let me know!

What is the point of taking both? I don’t think many (or any) schools would count those as satisfying requirement of 2 tests. Unless you have some particular reason for taking both, I’d recommend choosing another subject in place of one. You aren’t bound to what you signed up for or even to taking 2 tests that day. Level 2 probably carries more clout.

Notakid is wrong–many schools will accept both the Math I and Math II exams if they allow you to chose your own exams. Schools such as UVA and Boston University, for example, will allow it, although it may seem questionable if you aren’t applying as a mathematics major.

Anyway, you would think the Math II examination is harder, but in actuality it most certainly is not. As long as you have a basic understanding of trigonometry, it is easier. The curve is pretty relentless on the Math I exam. If you omit 8 questions on Math II, for example, you are looking at a score of 740-760. If you omit 8 on Math I you are looking at around a 680. As far as which to take first, I took Math II first when I took both exams. The tests are quite similar in content as far as I can remember, so just flip open to one and begin.

most top schools accept both so I’m just looking to see which one I get a higher score on. I will take both. I just wanted to see which one I should take first…

Thanks. I took them in October and scored in the low 700’s in both. 30 points higher in math 1 though…
