My D will have one year off from school this year. She is a junior now. This summer, she did spent time on SAT prep and will take the test maybe Dec and March.
Because the tests will take during her year off, will colleges still accept the score? Or, she needs to re-take the test when she go back to school next year?
Same question for AP ! She will still do some academic this year, plan to take one or two on-line AP courses.

Why the break?

Long story.
Both me and my husband travel a lot, so we sent her to boarding school.
She was so unhappy there, no friends, very stressful.
She got sport injury this fall, needs frequent doctor check and physical therapy.
So, we decided to take her home and have one year off.
Next year, she will attend local high school as repeat junior year.

she won’t have to retake the sat for sure.

I would recommend her taking a SAT refresher class and set a winter/spring target date to take the test. Maybe consider take the ACT also in her time off. It would a big stress relief if she could get satisfactory scores on her SAT I and/or ACT with writing before she starts her Junior year Part II. Maybe visit college campuses while classes are in session. What a luxury-time to do things right.
