Excellent people! We are one-third of the way there! Anyone on the west coast who can still get in a walk tonight - that would be great!

Acollegestudent and dogfriend here - another 30-minute evening walk!
I have to give a shout out to dogfriend. He had an an injury a month ago - after rough housing, he woke up not being able to walk, and we had to go go to the emergency room. On a follow-up visit, the vet did an x-ray and found that he has mild hip dysplasia and arthritis (dogfriend is 9). So, I am under strict orders to follow his lead as far as how long to walk for. I thought today he wouldn’t want to walk for sure. It was cold (40) and raining, and he normally can’t stand either cold or rain. But not so! Dogfriend was excited to walk, and we did the full 30 minutes! Yay, dogfriend! He is the one that really drives me to walk more!

I walked tonight and am proud of myself. My walking partner couldn’t go but I pushed myself and went alone.

Special congrats to those who took their walk under not perfect conditions - those who got out even though the weather was not stellar or your walking partner was not available - there is ALWAYS an excuse - so just walk past that excuse and get your walking done!

I walked 30 min. yesterday, and will walk another 30 minutes today. So add an hour for me. (For 7 years I’ve walked my kids back and forth to neighborhood school almost every weekday. After the last one leaves this school in 2016, I’ll have to find another fitness plan. Only about 10 miles a week, but it helps.)
