Taking 30 credit hours a semester

What would I expect if I took 30 credit hours per semester at community college? My situation is I got into the colleges I wanted to get into out of high school (Michigan, UIUC, Purdue), but am going the community college route to save some money, and will likely apply to those same colleges after one year of community college, maybe with one or two reaches if I do really well. I won’t have a job and will be living alone at a family home in a very small town in Michigan, with little to do outside of school in the winter. A few of the classes would be online or video classes where I study videos at home and take exams every few weekends.

If it’s spending 10-12 hours a day on school work I’m willing to do it, but if I have to spend 15 hours just to pass classes I’ll reconsider. It would be ideal to enter a university next fall as a second semester sophomore or a junior.

That’s double a full course load. Do not do it. 15 or so credits is a full course load. I know people who have taken 19 credits, and nearly killed themselves with work to maintain As.

I do not see a college allowing you to take nearly that many credits in one semester.

billy is right, CCs probably wont allow you to do so many, but if you want to try go for it!
if you can do it, hell…why not right? lol :D

i knew a guy who took 26 units and pulled a 4.0. some ppl got it some ppl dont.
10-12 hours is not going to be spent on school work alone…you’ll be spending 10-12 hours IN school if u take 30 units which leaves u only a few to do personal things and study. not to mention sleeping…

try it, be aware of drop dates and drop if needed
simple as that. gl!
