I took the SAT 3 times and on my 3rd time I scored my highest in all 3 categories. CR 670 M 690 W 670: 2030

I am looking at colleges for business: Boston College, NYU (Stern), Lehigh, Villanova, Stevens, Maryland, Northeastern, UNC Chapel Hill

If I took it for the 4th time I assume I would be able to raise math to a 730 making my overall around a 2070
Is 40 points higher worth taking that 4th SAT? I heard colleges start to punish when a student takes more than 3 SATs.

Let me know based on the colleges I’m looking at.

No I don’t believe 40 points would be worth it as it would be within the standard deviation of your score range. However, you don’t have to send all your scores (aka all 4) as you can use score choice to only send ones that would raise your superscore, which is what most colleges look at

At this point you might want to start focusing on other factors than your SAT. I took my SAT three times, got a 2080 but superscored 2130. I don’t really think my SAT hurt me that much since I had strengths elsewhere. I don’t know if any of the schools you are applying to allow score choice but if you’re not sure you can definitely score over a 2150 it might actually hurt you to take it again.

I think your current SAT score is a pretty good match for most of your schools. Not sure about NYU Stern, though.
