Taking a College class during Senior year

I am currently a Junior in HS, and I am considering taking Calculus at local university next year.
(Because My school does not offer APs) The highest math class offered is Honors Calculus,
but I want to take college calc so i can earn credits and challenge myself more academically.
Well, so for students at my HS, this college offers a program called ‘Senior Honors Program’
in which HS seniors can take 1-2 classes at this college during school hour.
So if I do this, I will only be able to take 5-6 classes at my HS (out of 7 available), and
I guess it will be marked as early release/ late arrival.

My question is-
Would it look bad (for college admissions) if I have early release during my Senior year?
Because I can only take classes at this college during my school hours,
I have to miss at least one class (for HS).
Is there a place I can explain this on college app?

Thank you!

It’d look more than fine since you’ve tried to challenge yourself by taking 2 college classes (I’m guessing, one MWF, and one Th). Colleges are very used to this and appreciate it, since likelihood of success in college correlates well with success in college classes actually taken in HS!

Getting an early release to take college classes is no issue at all. In fact colleges will like that you are stretching yourself with the harder coursework.

The above posters are correct!!!

That is good to know! Thank you all so much  I am applying for College Calc today!
