<p>I’ve taken the ACT three times, raising my score from 32 to a 34 (one was mandatory state testing). Does taking the ACT three times look bad to colleges?</p>
<p>Your should treat each attempt as your last attempt. In general, taken 3 times is considered acceptable. So don’t worry about that. Many states that have mandatory ACT without writing that forced many students to take it 3 times in order to have a retake with writing.</p>
<p>3 times is acceptable, especially if one test was mandatory. 4 times is pushing it though, so make sure you study hard and do your absolute best on the third attempt!</p>
