Taking Advantage of High School AP Credits for Students Aiming for MCAT

Is it really a good idea to skip the MACT subject courses such as Chemistry and Biology? I sometimes heard complaints about the high school courses from my boys.

1) Would you consider the teaching of these courses at IUB inspiring and informative so that it is worthwhile to take these courses anyway?

2) Is it a good idea to skip Calculus if one’s AP scores are over 4 since MCAT does not cover math?

Thanks

DONT skip biology physics or chemistry i am a senior and i did really good in AP biology, AP Physics, and AP Chem. I looked at a practice MCAT and i did not have a clue on half the questions.

lanceb,

Thanks. I just found out the a placement test would be required for C117 at IU. Indeed, it is a good idea to take all core courses. However, for math/stats, it is a good idea to use some AP credits since MCAT does not cover that anyway.
