Taking advantage of their lack of diversity.

Hi, i’m am hispanic, African American, and broke. If i apply to some of those fancy provate schools like Lehigh or Bucknell would I get a better deal than at a public school in NJ? I mean, a public college in NJ goes for like 23k at year, so could i get a better deal at a private school since i’m a broke minority, with good grades and impressive EC’s?

Diversity might help with scholarships, but I doubt it helps with need based aid.
And yeah, there’s a good chance you’ll get a better deal at a well endowed private than a state. Couldn’t afford any state schools, but Smith’s more than affordable because of its good need based aid.
