Taking AP Euro AFTER scoring a 5 on the exam?

I self-studied AP Euro and AP World last year (my old school did not offer AP classes) and I scored 5s on both exams. I’d like to take AP Euro as a class next year - I think I might actually learn something, and I need six credits - but my mother is somewhat opposed to it. Would it look strange on a resume to take an AP class after taking the exam?

I guess you should just get a five again and not report the first score.

Why not just take another class? Really, seems like a waste… you obviously know all there is to know about the subject at your level.

Don’t do that, I think colleges get to see all of your scores except for the ones taken senior year, I personally think that just looks weird and shows that you are lazy, colleges will think that you wanted to take the class after scoring a five on the test just for that easy A and GPA boost.

^ I agree .

I like the first reply. Very original.

But seriously, I am sort of running out of classes to take senior year, unless I move into art classes or double up in math (which probably won’t happen.) Would this be a strong alternative?

I think you should take the class if that is what you are interested in taking. It doesn’t matter that you self studied it.

i would probably say you shouldn’t do that… take something else, try an art class, see how you like it. or double up in math
