Taking Calc II before finishing AP Calc AB

I am a high school junior and am close to finishing College Chem I at my local CC. It’s a night class that I take a couple of times every week.

Soon I have to sign up for classes for my spring semester. I can continue taking chem by taking College Chem II.

However, I really want to take Calc II. My school does not offer anything higher than AP Calc AB. I’m the only junior in that class right now. I want to take Calc II in the spring so that in my senior year I can take ODE or Linear Algebra or Multivariable Calc at the community college.

Would it be possible to take Calc II before finishing AP Calc AB? The class starts in mid-January and we will finish all the AP Calc AB material at the end of March in order to prepare for the AP exam.

If I can differentiate and integrate well, would I be okay in Calc II? What other concepts should I learn? The actual class is called Calculus II with Analytical Geometry, if that makes any difference at all.

I just really want to get ahead in math since my school is limited and I’d be willing to teach myself some basic concepts to get ready for Calc II. I’ve started to teach myself integration.

Thanks for any help!! I appreciate it a lot!!
