Taking Calc w/ Apps over AP Calc Effects

Other than CalTech or MIT, I’m not aware of any other school where calculus is a graduation requirement for every major in that school. MIT makes their Music majors take one year of physics and calculus. CT doesn’t even have a Music Major as far as I know.

Brown is a great school. But in current climate, there is no one path that will guarantee admission, so you just need to find your passion and take classes that are interesting to you. Your admission essays will focus on those and not having math classes will not hurt you. (unless it’s caltech or MIT where they specifically tell you don’t bother applying because there is no path through MIT that doesn’t involve math or physics).
