Taking Calculus BC

Im currently in precalculus honors and am planning to take the BC exam this may.

My teacher discouraged me from taking it, but i do not believe the test is that hard. Across the tests I have taken, from barron’s and petersons and some real, I generally get in the 95% range for the multiple choice. The open ended, though I can not grade myself is usually thorough and right. I studied for it over the past six months with the addison and wesley book - “Calculus and Analytical Geometry”

Should I continue to take it?

Recommendations?

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

Well, if you are getting 95% on the practice tests you should be good to go. I am also taking the Calc BC exam but I am taking Calc III at a local uni…

If you are getting 95% right in multiple choice and doing the free response “thorough and right” then why are you even asking us? lol

Here’s a lot of actual test questions to look at by the way:

<a href=“AP Calculus BC Exam – AP Students | College Board”>http://collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/calculus_bc/samp.html?calcbc</a></p>

you’re getting 95% of them right and you’re wondering whether you should continue when you need like a 68% for a five? there’s a word for people like you.

If u could get 95% of the MC blank …then not only should you take the test…but u might as well just leave the FR blank…Or at least half of it.

The question is: can you get a 95% in the alloted time?

The BC exam is wonderfully and generously curved - you need to get something like 70% of your answers correct in order to score a 5. You seem to be doing very well; why not take it this year when the information is fresh in your mind?

if you can get a 95% on the MC then you should be good to go
just make sure you practice a bunch of frqs on the collegeboard ap website
