<p>How important is taking classes at a local college for admission to schools like MIT? I really couldn’t take classes at a local college b/c I always took care of my autistic brother. My parents were always busy, and I was the only one who could understand my brother’s needs. Autism is also the basis of all of my MIT essays and research.
Will MIT hold it against me if i didn’t take college couses outside the classroom?</p>
<p>P.S. I did take 11 AP courses, most number of AP’s out of all the students in my graduating class, which lead me to become valedictorian. (My school only offers 13 AP courses)</p>
