friend of mine wants to take a girl out to olive garden or something, and he wants to borrow my car. I said no because he has the tendency to f- things up, and I like my car. He has a motorcycle, but the girl is kind of shy, and probably won’t be too comfortable riding a bike. walking is not an option. what are his options besides the transit?

Renting a limo

Why don’t you drive them?

Yeah either drive them or tell him to take the bus/Metro/whatever. I don’t blame you dude, if I had a car I wouldn’t want someone driving it either (that’s why I plan on getting a manual car lol). I’ve seen how one of my roommates drives my other roommate’s car when she lets him borrow it and it’s pretty bad.

it is a manual. That’s why I’m worried.

Take her somewhere within walking/public transportation distance. You’re not his cab lol.

well idk about the rest of you, but taking a girl out on a date on a bus sounds really awkward to me…

In the same vein as romanigypsyeyes…

If he pays you, you could drive him;)

^ Ha. Fair enough. Nice way to earn a buck ;)

Then he should get a car. Or go somewhere closer. Does she have a car? She could drive.

I took a girl out on a walking date before. Albeit, I was 15 and therefore didn’t have a car lol.

yea, this is not my problem. the guy is on his own.

this whole time, I though you were a girl

I am .

you’ll think me weird for saying this, but he could rent a limo but go to a restaurant near her house. it’s like, $25 for a 3-mile drive.

Yeah, I wouldn’t let someone else drive my car. My parents would be on the hook financially if something happened, and it wouldn’t be pretty.

Tell him he needs to take the bus or some other public transit, or if it’s close enough, just walk there. They can spend time talking without having to deal with other people listening or having his attention divided between her and the road.
