Hi there,
I am currently a student attending a cc with the intention of transferring into UCLA’s Nursing Program and have a few questions.
First off, would it be best if I take the amount of classes I think I can handle or would taking a full-load which is close to 3 or more classes per quarter be a better route?
I’m worried that if I take classes to fit around my shedule, which would be at least 2 courses per quarter, I’d be considered possibly “lazy” or “incompetent”. ^^;
My last question is regarding hiatuses.
Would UC’s really look down upon students who choose or had to take a quarter off from school or is this irrelevant as long as they complete the IGETC and major requirements prior to transferring?
Thanks so much!
Peace!

Only two courses per quarter would take a while to complete all the requirements needed to transfer. If you have most of the courses completed, then you could follow the two course route. As long as you have reason for taking two courses such as a job or family commitment, then there shouldn’t be a reason for being considered as “lazy” or “incompetent” as you say. As long as you completed the requirements and are a strong applicant, then you should stand a strong chance depending on which school you apply to.
