Let’s say I have three SAT IIs (two 800s and one 790). I know I can get over a 650 in a language SAT II (and thus achieve the credit), but I don’t think I can get much higher than low 700s. Would it be possible to take the SAT II in the spring of senior year after I’m admitted in order to get the easy credit but avoid having to put a low score on my application?

I think most schools accept credit on tests as long as they were taken before matriculation.

^^yeah. 10char

If the college accepts SAT scores in language for credit or at least to allow you to escape or minimize the language requirement that you will face once you are in college, then yes, you can take it after you are admitted. But many schools do not accept SAT II language tests for credit.

^^actually, most do.

YES. Indeed, even if the college does not provide credit, a qualifying score may exempt you from the language requirement. Taking the subject test late in your senior year is perfectly acceptable.
