Taking SAT II in your worst subject??

My worst subject at school def is chemistry. However, I still tried the practice chem test in the official study guide, and (miraculously) scored a 790 with no prep. Would taking chem as a subject test bo a good idea to “counter” my lowish grade? Or would it just really perplex those admission officers?

Thanks ^_^

I’m not sure if it would “counter” your lower grade… but If you scored a 790… go for it. Take a few more to make sure that score is valid since you said its your worst subject. Is it your subject because of your grade in the class? or what? Are you taking Regular, honors, or AP?

Yeah, my worst grades are in Chem (IB) :frowning:
Actually, I had never taken chemistry before (I was homeschooled sophomore year), so maybe that has something to do with it!

I’d say take the test; since you’re already scoring well without prep, getting an 800/750+score could only help you, not harm you.

Wow, you got a 790 without prep, Ms. Genius :)! Just take the test, I doubt you will get anything below a 750 on test day

the official study guide is a pretty good gage for what you will actually score, so I think you should definately take the SAT 2 chem test

Ok thanks for the advice guys!

yeah just buy a prep book or something, study it a lil bit and ur like guranteed an 800…
